Jeevakagaraya,
the Ayurveda Centre of Siddhalepa Resort, uses traditional
Ayurvedic preparations manufactured according the age-old
formulae from Ola-leaf books following the same procedures.
All these
preparations are manufactured by our own company, Hettigoda
Industries (Pvt) Ltd, the best-known Ayurveda Company in Sri
Lanka. The Factory is approved by the Department of Ayurveda,
Sri Lanka, and has approved all the medicines manufactures
by them to be natural and traditional. This facility is also
the first Ayurveda Company in the World to obtain ISO
9001, ISO 14001, and GMP
international standards. In addition, most of the herbal ingredients
that are required for production are grown at our own Ayurvedic
Plantations and through our village out-grower farmer programme.
Therefore, Siddhalepa gives and unconditional quality guarantee
for their Ayurvedic products.

| Svarasa |

The
juice of herbs with or without water and sugar |

Paste
prepared by grinding medicinal plant materials |

A
decoction; the herbal materials of bark, roots, leaves,
fruits and flowers are cut, sliced or powdered coarsely
and one part of the amalgamation is boiled in four,
eight or sixteen parts of water and reduced to one part. |

| Asava |

A
preparation where herbal drugs are soaked in liquids
(mainly water) fermented and filtered. Sometimes, natural
alcohol obtained from herbs is added to expedite fermentation
and enhance efficacy. |
| Arishta |

An
elixir; a rasayana preparation similar to asava. These
elixirs are fermented in teak vats for 45 days to retain
efficacy over a long period. |

ointment; a semi-solid preparation using various essential
oils and other medicinal extracts and powders. |
